This site, made possible by LabforCulture, served the public consultation on Rainbow Paper II, an initiative of the Civil Society Platform for Intercultural Dialogue, from 25th April to 13th June 2008. The paper contains recommendations to civil society organisations and the European Union on how to practice respect for cultural diversity. The version put to consultation with the changes made during the consultation and all comments posted will remain accessible on this site until September, when the final document will become available. Changes will no longer be possible in this interim phase.

From the beginning of September, The final Rainbow Paper on Intercultural Dialogue will be posted on this site and civil society organisations will be invited to sign up to its recommendations on-line.

The endorsed document will be presented to the public and to the EU Council at the closing event of the European Year of Intercultural Dialgue on 17-19th November in Paris. The Rainbow Platform is a formally recognised discussion partner for the European Union institutions under the process known as “Structured Dialogue”. It will deliver its recommendations in this capacity.
